Name of the Post:

• Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) [Automobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor, Indian Air Force (Police) only] Trades

Qualification:

• Applicants should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2 / 12th or Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English for Indian Air Force Recruitment Rally 2017.

Age Limit:

• Candidates born on 07.07.1997 and 20.12.2000 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally.

Pay Scale:

• During training, a stipend of Rs. 11,400/- per month will be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Grade Pay, Military Service Pay (MSP), and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be Rs. 23,535/- per month (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.
• Other allowances such as Transport Allowance, Composite Personal Maintenance Allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration Allowance (LRA), Children Education Allowance, Family Planning Allowance, HRA etc. are also admissible to airmen.

Note: The above pay & allowances are under revision by 7th Central Pay Commission.

Selection Procedure:

Selection process will be based on as given below,

• Written Test
• Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
• Adaptability Test
• Medical Examination

Instructions to Apply:

• Candidate must reach advertised to the following venue (Address & Walk in Date Mentioned in Official Notification) with all original document and Xerox copies, filled in application form (if required)

Verification of Eligibility:

• Original Certificates, Marks Sheets and other required applicable original documents like NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate, Son of serving Air Force Personnel (SOAFP) certificate (or) Discharge Book, Service Certificate issued from AFRO/DAV for Sons of retired/deceased/ discharged Air Force personnel (or) Discharge Certificate (if discharged from Army/Navy/Government organisation), Consent Form, signed by parents if candidate below 18 years of age, and passport size colour photographs will be required and scrutinized/verified at the examination venue prior to commencement of Written Test to ascertain the eligibility prima-facie. Detailed verification will be carried out later in respect of candidates who pass Written Test. Candidature of those, who do not meet the laid down educational criteria, will be rejected during Initial verification of original certificates & mark sheets prior to the conduct of written test and also during detailed verification on clearing the written test.

• Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test-2: 23.05.2017  (For Vellore, Kanyakumari, Theni, Thanjavur, Thiruvannamalai, Chennai, Thiruvallur, Dindigul, Dharmapuri, Coimbatore, Kancheepuram, Thiruppur, Namakkal, Erode, Ariyalur, The Nilgiris and Perambalur districts of Tamil Nadu)
